Pros: the cooling stand looks nice, and the fan seems to emit some cool air.Cons: The cooling pad has a plug for external power supply but an AC power adapter is not included, and this has cost me a great deal :-( . I bought this cooling pad mainly because it doubles as a USB hub with 4 additional USB ports. People need additional USB ports for additional USB devices, which likely requires more power, so I went out and bought an AC power adapter. The cooling pad suggests that a 5V power adapter be used, but I couldn’t find a 5V adapter anywhere (e.g., Radio Shack, Walmart, etc.), so I bought an AC power adapter with 4.5V, thinking that it was close enough. Deadly wrong!! As soon as I plugged the power adapter to the cooling pad and plugged the USB cable from the cooling pad to my Sony laptop, I got a message that there was a power surge from the USB port, and the laptop went dead before I could unplug the cable. I brought the laptop to several repair shops, and got the same diagnosis:

Does anybody know anything about a 1960s NSM jukebox?
I just got a 1960s or 1970s NSM Prestige es160 Jukebox. Everthing seems to work but when Nsm Jukebox you punch in the song # nothing happens. When you power it on the slide goes back and forth. If you touch the needle it roars sound. It just wont pickup a record (45) and go. I can pay to get it fixed but I am a little tinkerer and if you have an idea I would love to hear it

I have been looking for a simple solution to merging GPS data with my photos for some time. I had thought PhotoMate 887 was the solution but within minutes of opening the package the button used to turn the devices on and change operating mode stuck and that was the end of that.

I was also disappointed that this device does not just plug into a computer and show up as a drive with the GPS data.

This device doesn’t do a lot: it simply records your position in a log. Later on you can retrieve it on your pc and insert locations in JPG images based on the time they were taken.

For a cheap GPS unit I did not expect much but it definetely delivers. Acquisition time is really fast (in fact faster than any other GPS unit I’ve had so far) and it is very sensitive – it can record indoor and on a stress test it had no problems recording locations from within the trunk of my Ford Focus – completely surrounded by sheet metal! That means that you don’t have to jump through hoops to keep it on the outside of your camera bag – just dump it inside a pocket and it will record anyway. To weatherproof it, simply insert it in an empty 35mm film container.

If it wasn’t clear from the description: this is a *recorder*, not a navigation unit. It doesn’t have an LCD or anything although it offers a bluetooth option to connect to a cellphone (haven’t tried that out). It works as advertised – highly recommended.

I ordered this for my grandson’s netbook. It works great and
the extra usb ports on the back is an added plus that he needed.
It was just the right size too. The fans are extremely quiet.
I would advise anyone that needs a good little laptop cooling pad,
to buy this. Definately a 5 Star Product.
