Just received it and it works fine, right away. I have a external 30GB laptop hard drive hooked up to it. I have an 2010 AUDI A4. I know other people have had problems with this device in a Audi Q7. I found on the Audi forums where there is software upgrade to posibly fix any issues. I’m guessing whatever device you have connected will have to be able to run from the USB 5VDC and not be dependant on an external power source.
When are the Brits and Americans ever going to go metric?
I live in a non English speaking country., many times I am eternally grateful for the wonderful and enlightening information I can squeeze out of the internet. Still,,,, in these heightened times, I get frustrated when, on seeking specific info, e.g, recipes,,,, or,,,,(I have a TomTom navigator) distances are a problem as well. To get the full benefit of all these marvellous things,,, I must always seek out a converter.. Imperial to metric I mean…. Hey, for goodness sake,,, do none of the Brits or Ami’s have this problem? Do you all, only look on Oxford/American Ami G 40 Jukebox sites????? Honestly,,, I am a colonial, and we “had” to change to metric when I was (approx) 5/6 yrs old.I have the benefit of both, took a while for everyone to get into it, but hey,,,, that was nearly 40 years ago!!!! God! why is it that everywhere you are,,, everyone has to have thier own “special” little “THING” Sorry if I sound peevish just right now,,, only, come on!! continuing,,,,follow on from afore mentioned gripe. Just that,,, if the rest of the world can manage ‘metric’ why for the love of god can’t you Brits and Americans get onto it as well??I’m not convinced,, like I say, recipes online will often come only in imperial, the British and American ones. As well, I just got my stink hot dinky doo, Tom Tom Navigator,,, chose, out of preference an English(British) speaking voice,,, so why do I have to think “yards!” This progressive world we have, only goes as far as the programmers nose I feel. Besides, I have friends in America that feel it more logical to go the metric way,,, esp regarding temperatures. Yeah I know, this is just a little moan, and on the scale of world importance, it doesn’t rate terribly highly. Only wanted to have a little grumble, thats all. Thanks all for taking the time to answer.
