
I got mine about 2 years ago. This model was the RD2762B; which, I guess, already has a firmware upgrade pre-installed on it. Reading most of the other reviews I’d have to say I was lucky to have mine last as long as it did. I can only think of 2 times where I might have had any shock to it from dropping it. When it died I knew… “File System Corrupted” came up every time I powered it on. I’ve heard that is due to the sensitivity of the hard drive. A couple of months before this happened I did have some trouble with it profiling. It would take a very long time and would finally finish. When I’d go the usual route to play the music files I had on it – It would ask me to Profile the contents (which should have already been done). So, I’d have to go through it’s menu/system folders to get to my music. The other (normal) way usually has the songs arranged by Artist, or Genre, etc. I really liked this player and felt I got a decent run for what I paid for it (+$180.00 after
