This “needle” is barely passable as an audio stylus. Get the real one. This thing is a tiny little nub of steel (maybe) on the end of cheap, hair-thin rubbery plastic. It is complete crap. I fitted it to my turntable arm, and the stupid “needle” wasn’t even tall enough to keep the arm from scraping on the record. Worthless. Get the more expensive one.
Engineering Problem Help?
I’m not sure on how to solve this. Or what I’m looking for >.< Any help would be appreciated.A civil engineer is designing a road for a posted speed limit of 55 mph. The road has a sharp turn that much be "banked", or sloped downward toward the pivot of the turn. The slope is required so cars do not slide off the road. (You have undoubtedly noticed that racing 45 Record Table cars require a very steep bank to prevent them from sliding off the racetrack in a sharp curve.) He is considering specifying a slope with the saftey record reported in the table belowAutomobile Speed Entering the Turn (mph); Fatal Crashes (%)70-74.9 ; 275-79.9 ; 1580-84.9 ; 4585-89.9 ; 7590-94.9 ; 9595-100 ; 100Using a police radar gun, the civil engineer decides to survey the automobile speed on a highway with a posted speed of 55 mph. He determines that the mean speed is 62 mph with a standard deviation of 7 mph. The highway being designed by the engineer has an anticipated usage of 50 million automobiles each year. How many fatal crashes are expected on this curve each year? In your view, is this an acceptable number of crashes? Do you think redesign is warranted?

Facts: Relatively new to the vinyl scene.
Have never purchased a new needle prior to this one.
Competent enough to be able to read about vinyl and/or needles and learn about them.
With that out of the way, this needle works. Easy to install and no problems with destruction during delivery. However, at points within the first 20% of every record I play under this needle, the record skips. Perhaps my records are dusty or scratched. Or I simply need to break my new needle in. All I know is that it’s annoying and the original did not have this problem. The other 80% of the record is fine.
If Crosley needles are not proprietary I would be happy if someone would let me know, until then, here’s to hoping this problem fixes itself.
Prompt service, item seemed somewhat flimsy, but I’m just a klutz
Works very well, exactly what I needed. Thank you
Crosley offers a bundle that comes with three needles and a cleaning kit that’s a much better deal.
My Philco record player arrived yesterday, and I couldn’t wait to try it out. I love it!! It plays all 3 speeds and comes with a 45 adapter. It is small, light, and easy to carry. I think the speakers are pretty good. It makes a slight buzzing noise when turned on, but you don’t hear it when the record is playing.
THE VANNS COMPANY WAS VERY HELPFULL WHEN I RETURNED THE ITEM ,THEY REFUNDED MY MONEY PROMPTLY, YOU COULD NOT ASK FOR BETTE SERVICE.
I use this anti-static record cleaner brush before each playback session. It definitely limits the frequency of pops and cracks, leaving that sweet sound that takes you back to the old days when records were the popular medium. The sound may not be as clean as today’s digital audio, but it certainly revives the life of any record that has been collecting dust over the years.
