
The reason that some records will not work properly with the adapter is not because the adapter is faulty. It is due to variations in the center hole diameter of the 45 rpm records. The solution is to simply remove the 8 small screws that hold the 2 outer sections of the adapter and just use the center part and it will work fine.
Did 45 rpm singles really sound better than LP tracks of the same song?
When I was a kid, my good friend Chuck used to swear 45 Rpm that 45 rpm versions of a song were superior in sound quality to the LP versions. At the time, I didn’t know why or how that could be.Now I think perhaps they were separately mastered….and the single version was more brilliant.Is that the case?
